Overview
Design change to improve how work actually gets done — grounding design decisions in real human needs and everyday work realities.
When change is designed with the people doing the work in mind, teams gain clarity and create improvements that are people-focused, practical, and sustainable.
About this Course
In this hands-on course, participants learn how to design change through a human-centered lens using practical mapping and co-design techniques.
Starting with current state process mapping, participants will surface human needs, identify bright spots and pain points, and uncover opportunities for improvement in existing ways of working. They will then explore how to design small, intentional changes — using future state maps and collaboration to visualize, test, and refine ideas that improve both experience and performance.
Participants will also consider how tools like AI might support parts of this work — such as organizing inputs, exploring patterns, or generating design options — while ensuring changes are still co-designed with the people doing the work.
This course is for anyone involved in shaping how work gets done who wants to design change that is practical, participatory, and ready to put into action.
