Authentic Feedback

Overview

Explore how to give feedback in a way that is grounded, human, and constructive — without minimizing the message or escalating conflict.

About this Workshop

Feedback is one of many tools available to us at work — alongside making requests, running retrospectives, experimenting with new approaches, or doing our own internal reflection. Yet feedback often feels risky, uncomfortable, or avoided altogether.

This workshop explores authentic feedback as the path between two common extremes: staying silent and suffering quietly, or speaking up in ways that damage trust and relationships. Participants will learn how to give feedback in a way that is grounded, human, and constructive — without minimizing the message or escalating conflict.

We’ll also focus on becoming feedback-ready: learning how to get on the same side of the table, clarify intent, give feedback with compassion, and receive feedback without defensiveness.

The session will also touch on how tools like AI can be used thoughtfully to support reflection or message clarity — without outsourcing responsibility, empathy, or accountability in feedback conversations.

Through practice and reflection, participants will leave with tools to make feedback a source of learning, alignment, and stronger working relationships.
