When you meet Andrew, you’re likely to notice two things right away: his calm presence and his bright smile. Andrew brings a quiet steadiness to every room — the kind that invites trust, thoughtful conversation, and a sense that whatever challenge lies ahead, you’ll figure it out together. He’s not one to rush or overwhelm; instead, he creates space for people to think clearly, collaborate openly, and move forward with confidence. That’s part of what makes working with him feel both grounded and energizing.
Andrew’s journey to Navicet is rooted in decades of experience across engineering, software development, and transformation work. He started out in electronics engineering in Australia, writing code before most kids had even seen a computer. His early career took him to the U.S., where he worked on avionics systems and later led software teams in the vehicle telematics industry — building systems that connected vehicles to networks and back-end platforms long before it was common.
But Andrew’s story isn’t just about technology. It’s about transformation — both professional and personal. Over time, he shifted from writing code to helping teams work better together. He became deeply curious about Agile practices, facilitation, and leadership development. A turning point came when he attended Agile Coach Boot Camp and later completed a nine-month cohort program focused on coaching, mentoring, and organizational change. That experience sparked a new chapter in his career, one focused on helping people grow, collaborate, and lead with intention.
At one point, Andrew even designed and led a leadership development program for engineers, based on the idea that technical skills alone aren’t enough — it’s how you show up that makes the difference. “The inner game controls the outer game,” he says, quoting a book that helped shape his thinking. That philosophy continues to guide his work at Navicet, where he brings a rare blend of technical fluency, emotional intelligence, and a deep commitment to making things better.
Andrew’s favorite part of working at Navicet? The collaboration. He loves the open, generous spirit of building ideas together, and the variety of work that lets him bring his full toolkit to the table. “Are we making someone’s experience better?” is a question he returns to often — and it’s one that perfectly captures the heart of his approach.
Outside of work, Andrew is a lifelong learner and a joyful tinkerer. He hikes in the Colorado mountains, experiments with home automation, and recently picked up blacksmithing as a new hobby. He’s also passionate about photography, science fiction, and vertical facilitation — a field that blends adult development with the art of designing meaningful group experiences. And yes, he’s always got a book to recommend.
Andrew’s advice? Try easier. He believes that many things are harder than they need to be — and that "with enough practice, we can stop bothering to make it so hard" (Ruth Zaporah). He hopes that people who work with him experience kindness, fun, collaboration, and insight. And maybe, just maybe, a little more space to play.
We’re lucky to have Andrew at Navicet — and if you get to work with him, you’ll understand why.
